Final Reflection

I was very nervous and excited to take this class. The reason I decided to take an AP class was to take a challenge and know how a college level class feels like and all the pressure I was going to have. By taking this class I had many reading challenges but I learned to become a better reader. There were many things I liked about this class like the after school and Saturday sessions, but after all I had success with this class.

My reading skills were not the best but after all the articles I have read I've improved. We had to read a lot of documents from DBQ essays and annotate them. I struggled at the beginning but now I can read and understand documents pretty good. My reading skills also improved by reading the textbook. At the beginning it was hard for me to comprehend what the book was saying. Now that I have finished I understand mostly everything I read. Taking quizzes was also a challenge for me. We had to take less than a minute on each question and it was hard for me to understand the question and answer it in a little bit of time. By the end of the year when I took quizzes I learned how to read each question fast but also understand what it was asking me.

There were many thing that I liked about this class. One of these is the was Mr.Rodriguez taught. It was easy for me to learn the material when I would read in my house and then go over it in class. It helped me understand some parts I didn't understand while I was reading. After school sessions were also very helpful. We would do posters with groups and I would learn new things with those people or remember something I  had forgot. After School we would also go over some material we didn't have time to go over in class. Saturday sessions was something that helped me very much. We would go over essays and how to answer questions on the tests. Saturday sessions were very helpful when it came to taking the AP test because I learned in these sessions how to organize my essays and how to develop strong paragraphs.

I had success with this class. I managed to write better essays than I used to. I write more well organized and developed paragraphs. My essay skills improved throughout the school year. I also has success on the quizzes I took. I can now take quizzes and tests pretty fast and understand what I am supposed to answer. I learned how to eliminate answers and how not to waste too much time on one question. By taking this class I view the world in a different perspective. I understand how every part of the world connects in some point. I never imagined that I would have learned so much this year.

Throughout the school year I had challenges reading the textbook but I managed to over become that. There were plenty of things I liked about this class and because of this I had success in AP World History. I recommend future students to always follow the directions Mr.Rodriguez tells you to do because you will try and do it your way and it is not going to work out. They should also do their homework with time and not last minute because you will regret it when you are up late still doing homework.
